It All Started At Home…
I have to give my father, who is in construction, a lot of credit for influencing my curiosity in the field at an early age. For as long as I can remember, he was always busy with large scale renovations and small jobs around the house.
As I grew older, I became more interested in helping him with hands-on projects such as painting, installing floors, and demoing our houses. While in college, I worked as a home staging assistant and once I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology, I became a Certified Interior Decorator (C.I.D.).
I then went on to become an interior design assistant at Coco Interior Designs located in Ridgewood, New Jersey. To bring it all full circle, I obtained my New Jersey real estate license working at Premier Realty Homes in Northvale, NJ.
The idea behind Mercedes Amato Interiors, is having the convenience of interior design, home staging and real estate all under one roof. We will stage your home before we list it on the market, find you a new home, and if it needs a little TLC, we can turn it into your dream home. We are your “one-stop shop” throughout the entire process of selling your current home to renovating your new fixer upper. This enables us to build a great, long-lasting, working relationship with you.

I approach both life and work with sincerity, honesty, and compassion. I take pride in assisting my clients with their design and real estate needs. It brings me great joy knowing I have helped them sell their current home, find their dream home, and create beautiful spaces.
Home should be the place you create memories with your family, a safe space where you can relax and more importantly, it should be your sanctuary. It would be my honor to work for you as your designer, stager, and/or real estate agent.
Nature inspires me in my everyday life including the home industry. Whenever I can, I like to bring in warm, earthy tones to any given space. I am drawn to the vibrant colors, elaborate shapes, and various textures in which make for a peaceful, harmonious design.
